To view the .PDF reprint version of articles, you should have the Adobe Acrobat Reader on your hard disk. Moreover, your browser should be configured to open PDF files in Acrobat. See the detailed instructions in Help with Printing.
Increasing/adjusting
font size
Increasing the font size of your browser may help you to reduce eye strain when reading articles or abstracts online.
To increase the size of font that your browser uses to display text, find the 'Preferences' configuration item area and increase the default font size. A common (and likely default) font size is 12 point. Many people, however, find that 14 is easier to read on screen.
The larger font size may cause undesired word wrapping. If text is affected adversely by increased font size, you may need to reset the default size to 12-point.
Finding
a word or phrase in text
You may find helpful to use 'Find' function of your browser to find words or phrases within a particular page.
When viewing the full text of an article, move to the top of the article. Select Find and enter a string of characters to find.
In the Internet Explorer you can evoke Find function by simulteneous pressing 'CTRL' and 'F' keys.
Viewing
two sections of an article at once
In many situations it is helpful to have different sections of an article appear in two different browser windows.
You can achieve this by opening a second window of your browser.
You may wish to have two browser windows, for example, to view the 'References' in one window while reading the text of the article in another one.
To this end point to a reference number in the text that is linked to the cited references. Hold down your mouse button on your Mac until a new menu appears.
If you use Windows, use the right button on your mouse to display the menu.
Select New Window with this Link, and a second window will open containing the cited references.
To view two sections of text at once: Scroll to the top of the article. In the list of links to sections of the article, point your mouse to one of the sections you wish to view. Hold down your mouse button on your Mac until a new menu appears. If you use Windows, use the right button on your mouse to display the menu. Select New Window with this Link. When the new window appears, scroll in each window to the sections you wish to view.
In the Internet Explorer you can open new window (identical to your currently browsed page) by simulteneous pressing 'CTRL' and 'N' keys.
The other way around is to point your mouse to one of the buttons at the top of the article. Hold down your mouse button on your Mac until a new menu appears. If you use Windows, use the right button on your mouse to display the menu. Select New Window with this Link. Find the second article in the new window.
How to switch between browser windows?
Switch between two browser windows by clicking on the title bar of each or by through the "Windows" menu.
Please note that the second window may obscure the first so that it will be necessary to move and resize the new window before both can be viewed on your monitor.
How
to increase the viewable area in your browser?
To increase the viewable area in your browser, turn off the screen clutter in your browser.
This will allow you to see more of the Figures in an article and reduce the frequency with which you must scroll when reading the text.
In Microsoft's Internet Explorer:
click and hold on
the "View" menu.
Deselect "Favorites
Bar" in the View menu.
Repeat this process
for the "Address Bar" option.
The above changes can be easily reversed if you wish to restore the 'Toolbars'.

Toolbar' in the View menu.
The above changes can be easily reversed if you wish to restore the Toolbars.
How
to easily return to the article text after following a 'Reference' link?
To return to the article text after clicking a Reference number link, click on the 'Back' button of your browser instead of scrolling to the previous position in the text.
The 'Back' button will return you to your previous location more quickly and without the need for lengthy scrolling.
The 'Back' function can be easily lauched by simultaneous pressing 'ALT' and 'Left arrow' keys.
You can also view
the Reference list in a separate window while continuing to view the article
text in the main browser window. See the related section above.
Why
the journal home page is not updated ?
Does it seem as if our home page and 'Recent content' never change? We publish new articles as they are accepted and thus maintain the rolling type publication for the Doping Journal.
If you know that a new article has been published but you don't see this article appearing on our site you may be experiencing a caching problem.
The most likely source of this caching problem is your own computer our your local (or Internet Service Provider) network caching resources.
To remove the out-of-date pages from your computer cache you should clear the cache manually.
In Internet Explorer, the cache is sometimes called "Temporary Internet Files" and can be accessed through the "Internet Options" menu.
In Netscape 4.0, the cache options are accessed through the 'Edit' > 'Preferences' > 'Advanced' > 'Cache' menu items.
After clearing the cache you should quit your browser, restart it and return to our home page. If you still see the incorrect date reload the page several times.
You can reload the page by pressing 'Reload' button of Netscape Navigator or 'Refresh' button of the Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer can also execute refresh command by using a shortcut - pressing the 'F5' key.
In case above steps fail to remove the outdated page, this would suggest that your internet traffic may be going through a proxy server which is failing to update itself properly.
You will need to speak with a network administrator at your institution or dialup Internet Service Provider to resolve this problem.
